When working with proxies of 4k clips, I need to know if the original source date is being extracted when I extract a frame?  Does anybody know?

As long as the original media is online, Premiere Pro will always export using that.  It does appear that the same holds true for stills.

Ok. To me more specific, yes I have pulled it in and it tells me it's 3840x2160 72,

My question is since it's a proxy, is the original data reinterpreted in any way, is it smart enough to be pulling from the original?  I want to be sure I'm not compromising any quality because I'm working off the proxy.  Is the data in any way dampened?

    Try it.  Then you'll know.
