Question

Failure to encode/render

What is the most common reason Adobe Premiere projects fail to encode?  I have successfully encoded my current documentary through about 20 different iterations and I'm finally finished and now it won't encode.  I've spent all day on this. And tech support says wait 4 minutes and it ends up being 40.

Give us a screen-grab of the Export settings dialog. Full right side showing, please, and use the picture icon in the reply box formatting bar so it shows directly in your post.

And ... at what point does it stop, and ... how? Does it start to run but never finishes ... what, precisely?

How much space do you have on the drive that it is going to? Premiere typically needs 4-5 times the final file size free to work properly for exports.

No clue what's going on, as there's not nearly enough information in your post to even start guessing.

I don't even know if by 'encode' you mean do a render of the timeline, or you mean an export creating a new finished file.

Give us a bit more information on what your rig is for hardware, the media/effects used, and the step you're taking when Premiere isn't doing anything.

I'm trying to export an H.264 file of a 45 minute documentary project using Adobe Media Encoder and it has failed multiple times.  Up until now, I'd successfully exported various versions of my project without incident. I'd made a few final cutaway additions to the project and thought they may be the problem so I isolated clips from areas where new material was added but these clips encoded fine.  The project is being edited on a powerful new Titan computer. Effects on the varied footage (drone, dslr, 1080p he-def, GoPro) are primarily basic color correction with a few clips out of hundreds slightly resized and slowed down.

Can you export directly from Premiere without using AME.
