Faulty import of .mov from Canon 70D

Premier Pro Version 12.1 Build 186

I have had no success in importing .mov files shot on a Canon 70D.

The result is a miss-scanned mess shaded green and purple.

The files play perfectly in VLC, SMPlayer and Windows Media Player. Media Info shows that it is an MP-4 container with the following video section:
