I was using an external hard drive with 2 TB free space for the import.
The first part of the project (approx. 40 min long and 8 GB big) was saved without problems to this drive.

The 2nd remaining part (7 GB and 35 min long) stopped at approx. 67 % with the error message.

The Laptop itself is brand new, just purchased because of the same problems appearing with the "old" Laptop (CPU was probably to weak).

But will check C Drive for sure.

Check the C drive, that is where the temp files are stored.
