What files are you trying to import?

What formats?

Are you getting any error messages?

in this case its a mp4 downloaded from youtube   the error message tells me that it cannot import AV01 file

so, all i get is the audio, but not the video

i understand youtube is not the ideal source for any video footage, but in this instance its necessary

It may be an issue with a codec used for the video.

What if you try to import this video into Media Encoder and convert it to MP4 using a standard H.264 codec and then import it into Premiere?

Hi there!

Sorry about the trouble. What's the source of the media files? Could you share the file to test?

Let us know.

Thanks.

AV1 is a wrapper, what is inside YOUR wrapper - Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the program below
