FIles importing as sequences

On a project I'm importing elements but they are coming in as sequences. I want them to import normally as clips. How can I fix this?

If by sequence you mean Image Sequence, you don't happen to have Image Sequence enabled by accident in the Import dialog box?

Where is that option? Here are screenshots. I am importing video not graphics.

Thank you for posting the screenshot.

Disable " Create new sequence" in the right most column and you should be good.
