files taking FOREVER to prepare

Question

Something this new update has really aggrevated me with is how long files take to load waveforms and media, etc. My files used to take maybe 5-10 minutes at MOST to generate, now they take a literal hour. I'm not sure why this changed from the last version, but it slows down my work flow so much, not to mention all the other bugs with this new version.
