Post Subject: Strange audio bug after Premiere upgrade

Post Body:

Alright. I convinced my company to upgrade premiere to the current patch due to a bug that prevented us from audio gaining until the window was done calculating audio peaks. All good, fixed in the new version.

However. The new version gave us a new bug that is a lot more destructive. We noticed some clips suddenly didn't have audio, match framed the clip and all tracks were mute both on the audio meters and from the speakers. Huh, odd. Then some clips had become twice as loud. We realised premiere somehow duplicated the audio tracks in a clip to all the tracks on that clip. Eg we had person A's mic on 8 tracks for that clip. Also realised for the mute clips that it was the same problem, it had just duplicated one of the mute tracks. This all was kinda solved by making all media in the project offline and relinking it. But we have a shit load of projects, and it's sometimes hard to notice the bug if there's only one audio track on the timeline for a clip. And when you grab something from an old project it gets dangerous. This happened to all the edit suits on the project I'm working on, and it has been giving us a lot of extra work and nerves. It also happened to an export for a project that had been relinked. The editor it happened to told me he queued the sequences in encoder, closed premiere and then hit export. When he reopened the project the following day all clips in the project had the bug with all audiotracks being dupes of one of the tracks, and he had to relink the whole thing over again and export new files.

I guess the question is, does anyone have any idea what causes this bug and how to solve it?

Best regards, and thanks in advance
