Flickering Titles after authoring DVD in Encore.

Hey guys. So I have created a video with text at the beginning and after I have built it in Encore onto DVD I have noticed that the text and images begin to flicker during the title sequence and during my slideshow. What have I done wrong during the process? Is it the software? Did I export the video from Premiere with the wrong settings? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hey guys. So here is what I have tried. First I exported the video from Premiere to a MPEG-DVD, then imported it into Encore as an asset, then created a new timeline with both the audio and video. After playing it, flickering is noticeable at the top, bottom, text and just the overall quality was poor. I then decided to create a new project file and then re-imported all my assets and repeated the process. Problem solved! No flickering and the quality of video is at it's best. What I did was changed from NTSC to PAL...could this of been the issue? Let me know. I have re-opened the old project file with the flickering issue, imported the same file and noticed it's asking me to trans-code the video but not the audio. Currently in the process of doing it now to see if that solves the flickering issue, in an attempt to not have to re-do the entire project in Encore again lol.

Yes, your Encore project should have always been PAL. And no, you can't change a project to PAL once it is started as NTSC (or vice versa).

What were the sequence settings in Premiere?

What settings did you use to export it? (Post a screenshot is best)

When you imported it to Encore, did it say "do not transcode" in the project panel, DVD transcode status column?

Are you creating an Encore slideshow, or is the video you exported from PR a slideshow?

These are my Sequence Settings in Premiere:

Export Settings in Premiere:

When I imported the video I created in Premiere it did not say ''do not transcode.'' In the DVD transcode status column it says ''Untranscoded'' for both the video and the audio.

The video I exported from Premiere is not a slideshow. It's basically what was filmed on the day. A series of video clips, with titles, credits, music and video transitions. In Encore is where I created the Slideshow using about 96 photos which were also taken on the day.

I also get this message when I try to trans-code it!

I only have a couple minutes right now.

In the PR export settings, do not use "Automatic (based on source)" settings. Put in the correct information.

I don't understand where you saw "do not transcode" if the transcode status column says "untranscoded."

I would increase the max rate to 8.
