Font size vs. Resize Title

Question

Looked for an explanation but didn't really find any info regarding ... is there a differrence in changing the font size under the text selection in essential graphics panel vs using the pointer to merely rescale the text box? When I resize the text bounding box to a bigger size the font size remains the same. Just confused about when and how each control is used. thank you in advance for any help.

I can't say for certain how/when one should be used over the other but the text is vector/continuously rasterised so it shouldn't make any difference to the quality. If you set the font size to 1 (tiny) and then massively scale up using the controls under 'Align and Transform' you'll see the text is still sharp.
