What version of PR are using? Curious: if PR 2026, in the cloud desktop, look for your installed version, click the 3 dots: for “Optional HEVC codec” does it show it “Added" with a check?

Hi Bo, sorry you're running into this. For HEVC (H.265) footage, the official troubleshooting steps are these, try them in order:

1. Enable hardware-accelerated decoding: go to Edit > Preferences > Media, select Enable hardware accelerated decoding (requires restart), then restart Premiere.

2. For export, enable hardware-accelerated encoding: go to File > Export > Media, set Format to H.264 or HEVC (H.265), then in the Video tab, under Encoding Settings, set Performance to Hardware Encoding.

Note: hardware-accelerated decoding/encoding requires an Intel CPU with Intel Quick Sync support and the GPU/driver requirements listed in the doc.
