Footage sped up in editor

Okay so I just reinstalled the app after resetting my pc and there is a big issue that makes a big pain to edit with, when the footage is uploaded into the editor the preview section has the footage playing at a faster speed. It had this issue before I reset it too, but when I downloaded the app and used it a couple of times the footage would not be sped up. Please help because I have to edit something for a friend and it's a real pain having to deal with the speed.

Hi thiccb42594284,

As requested by Carlos, we would need more info to troubleshoot the issue properly. Please let us know if it's occurring with any specific media type or a specific project. If it's with a specific media type, then please provide media properties (codec, frame rate, the source where the media was captured). Also, as Ann suggested if the Audio Hardware preference is not properly configured you may face playback issues. Please let us know if setting the Default Input (in Audio Hardware preference) to None helps in solving the playback issue.

Thanks,

Sumeet

Yeah the problem was in the preferences thing. It works properly now thank you very much.

Upload means to transfer from a local computer to a remote computer over a network, such as the Internet.

You don't 'upload' footage into PP, you Import it.

Same issue, but more corrupt. I have a lot of red frames, the footage cuts at random times, and, as said, speeds up if i'm skipping through the video. Don't know how to fix it...

more info needed:

01. does your footage frame rate match your sequence frame rate?

02. What kind of footage are you working with?

03. System specs?

04. Is it happening on both the source monitor and program monitor?(what do you mean by preview section?)
