I have been searching around the forum and I have seen a few post that have been solved because they are using MP4 files (Preferences > Media > uncheck accelerated H.264 decoding). But it does not work for me. because my footage are Prores HQ in MOV format.

Today a few of my project turn red screen, and its not just a few footage, its entire footage on that projects. I have open my previous project and its normal.

So I decided to open this project on my laptop using the same version of Premiere pro 2018 and everything is okay, footage are all there without uncheck the Enable accelerated H.264 decoding. After that, I rename and saved the laptop version to open it on my workstation again, Unfortunately it turns red screen again.

Note: When I rendered as proxy files, I can see the footage but when I turn off Proxy mode, its back to RED screen.

Please help !!!!!

It sounds like you high resolution clips are offline.

When opening the project, make sure that the files are in the same location as when first imported.

You should be getting a dialog box indicating that your files are offline.  Use this to re-link.

They are not offline cuz they have sound on those red footages. I also try to do offline and relink method. it doesnt work. I even try to create new project and fresh import those footages, still red. I also change the engine from GPU to CPU, still red.

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers

Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

    •nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

I have the latest version of driver already. is it because of I open 4x 20TB external hard drives at the same time? cause im working on the TV drama and I dont have the big array yet. So I have to connect all of them together at once to work on my project. So the GPU cant handle them?

I will see if I can downgrade my GPU driver and test if it works.

    Thanks for your advices.
