Frame.io Error in Adobe: 'Something Went Wrong While Loading the Data' – Any Fixes?

Hello Adobe Technical Support,

I'm running into this error message when trying to use the Frame.io panel in Adobe Premiere Pro (see attached screenshot). It says:

"Something went wrong while loading the data. Please reload the extension and try again."

As far as I know, this is within the Adobe app itself and not an external extension I’ve added. I’ve tried reloading the extension and restarting the app, but the issue persists.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Is this a bug on Adobe's side or Frame.io? Also, if you've encountered this before, is there any workaround or solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Hello.

I am experiencing the same problem. I am recently new to Adobe community. I decided to go ahead and give it the seven day trial. I wanted to try this because I can Collaborate with a team and they can make edits and the turnaround time will be faster. Unfortunately, when I press on "review in frame.io" I get the same error message.

I have also tried to install the plug-in and now creative cloud, And also installed the frame.io comments. I only see the comment plug-in in the extensions list.

I would really like to resolve this. If I cannot resolve this problem, I will not be moving forward with Adobe. 🥹

Hi @Nacho S - Were you able to get help.  I believe since you are on V4 that you need to install the plugins from the marketplace instead of the built in Frame.io Panel.

Hi @Nacho S -  Go to frame.io  In the lower right corner, begin a chat with Adobe Support send them the link to this conversation, they should be able to look you up and help you out from there.  Sorry for the frustration.  Let us know if that solves your issue or if you need additional help.  You can message me if you hit any roadblocks.

Hi @jamieclarke,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps I could think of, including closing the panel via the hamburger menu and reopening it, but nothing seems to work. For your reference, here are my system details:

- MacBook Pro 14-inch (2021), M1 Pro, 32GB RAM
macOS Sequoia 15.1.1
- Premiere Pro version [25]
-Frame.io version 4 (updated a few days ago via the web).

The issue still persists after trying multiple solutions. Any additional guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi @Nacho S - What version of Premiere Pro are you on?  Can you let us know what os you are using?

Are you on V3 or V4 of Frame.io?

Have you tried clicking the hamburger menu and selecting close panel and then reoppening?
