Frame Substitution recursion attempt aborting - alternative fix
I have seen enough posts about fixing the frame substitution recursion aborting error. I was not able to delete render files. I removed my media cache, and many other attempts.
BUT, I found something else!
I ended up grabbing VLC (v3.0.18 was teh version I used), and used the 'convert/save' feature. I grabbed the original problem video clips, and converted them to exactly the same format. In my case it was H.264/MP4 videos, naming the file something a little different than the original.
Once it was done converting, I closed VLC, renamed the problem video to something else, and renaming the new one to the original file name.
I opened my project back up in Premiere Pro, and all errors were gone.
I hope this alternative fix helps others.
