Question

Frequent green/pink glitchy flashes in footage while editing, both in final render and while editing

Consistentely while trying to edit, I've been encountering brief glitches in footage. The best way I can describe them is like little streaks pixelated green and pink appear over certain areas of the footage for a couple frames, then vanish. These appear while editing and also in final render, but the location and time of the glitches is never consistent.

I'm using Mercury Playback Engine Software Only on a Dell Inspiron 15 3000
(Intel Core I7, intel IRSx Graphics)

Hi there!

Sorry to hear that. What's the source of media files you have? Could you check if there's an update available for your GPU?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

I have much the same issues as above. Horizontal glitches while editing and playing back. Have tried everything including deleting my media cache etc.. Updated to the latest display driver from NVidia.  I had to revert to 14.9 to do anything as this has always been stable for me. Really afraid to start a project in V22. These same clips pay back well in VLC, media player and other players. They are not corrupt and play back and edit well in 14.9 So it's V22.1.2 that is the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

My System:

Asus Predator i7 8 core bought 2020 - Windows 10-64 bit

32Gig ram

Geforce 8 Gig -  RTX 2060

Ironwolf premium 8 TB HD 7200 rpm

I had the same problem with videos from iphone. Are you downloading your media files before editing them? How are you moving your media files to the computer?

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:

Try updating the graphics driver.
