Frozen and Crashing- unable to start

Hi guys!

I just downloaded the trial version of premiere pro and nothing works. When I open the program, I see the home screen where I'm asked if it's a new project or open an existing one, then it freezes and closes on its own. I restarted my computer, I tried to reset the preferences, I tried logging out and in, I deleted everything in the sub folders, nothing works!

It's really frustrating! Even if I make a new project, I can only put the name and it crashes. If I tried to open it from its folder, it crashes. I downloaded the trial version to see if our company can implement premiere in our pipeline, so far the future looks bleak.

Indeed, I'm short on RAM and CPU. Thanks for the insight.

Is it possible to have an older version?

Short answer: no (not as a trial).
