Frustration with Masking - need a good tutorial

I've recently come to Premiere Pro after using Vegas for many years, I've found it to be very good and easy to use EXCEPT for the Masking. Can't seem to work out how to edit a mask after its been drawn. 

Can't find any videos on YouTube, please can someone point me in the right direction, I use this a lot.

There are YouTube channels by @PaulMurphy "The Premiere Pro", Colin Smith's "Video Revealed", and most anything by @premieregal  ...Kelsey's "PremiereGal" YouTube, that are normally well worth watching.

 

Also, Adobe just put out a new series of help things in video form, I don't have the link for it, but the Help should lead to it. @Kevin-Monahan could pop in with the link if Ann doesn't.

      Hello,

      I appreciate your quick reply and the link you provided and yes I mean moving vertexes around.

      I can see why its hard to find any videos about this subject. I followed the instructions in the link you provided and on a rectangle I think it works fine, I tried it on a complex shape I needed to refine and quite simply - it doesn't work.

      Not sure where to go from here.....

      If it's a complex mask I would resort to After Effects.

        What do you mean by editing? Moving vertexes around?

         

        Do not add or subtract vertexes from the mask once its drawn: it will not work as expected.

        Start with the amount of vertexes you think you need.
