Question

Full screen image being stretched vertically

I have used Premiere Pro for 20 years, never had this problem please help! It’s suddenly happened. I use a 2014 MBP with Premiere Pro CC 2019.

Working in a 7680 x 4320 timeline- exactly as I have for the last 12 months, same camera 8k footage etc. When I go Fullscreen it’s stretching the image vertically to fill the MacBook Pro’s screen, rather than adding the small black bars to keep it the correct 16:9 aspect ratio. I’ve tried deleting the preferences, created new timelines, created a new project and still its there.

Please can anyone help I’ve already wasted hours trying to fix this.. thank you in advance! Woody

Hey Woody,

Sorry about that. Can you try the footage in a new sequence? If that doesn't work, try a new project. Still not working? See if you can install a more current version to see if your bug is there. Finally, if you upload some footage I can inspect, I'd be willing to test it before passing it along to our devs. I hope I can help.

Thanks,
Kevin
