Hi!

The last days/weeks I struggeling with black frames plus render issues with FX6 footage on a MacMini M1. Are there any known issues with the GPU, M1, FX6,... ??

I also had some troubles some month ago with 4K footage and GoPro Hero9, but I thought it was due to the exposure with heavy wind and snow 🙂

I have exactly the same issue. I'll often try unlinking the clip in question, then relinking. Then closing and re-opening Premiere (am on 22.5). Sometimes rendering the images helps, though make sure you always save the project because some of these aborted frames can cause Premiere to crash during rendering process. Sometimes, Premiere will just freeze and crash anyway during playback with the audio repeating over and over.

The other issue is how often Premiere in my new Mac Studio stops and hangs for 10-15 seconds without displaying a clip image.

Wonder if it's mainly an issue with footage from Sony's FX6 camera as well as A7SIII. If so, Adobe ought to sort out the problem because Sony are selling a lot of these cameras.

Recently @Kevin-Monahan advised trying Premiere v23 Beta which seemed to work okay and not have the issues above but it's a little scary working in Beta when even a confirmed and tested version like 22.6 is withdrawn with a serious bug.

Hello,

Do you have the latest premiere pro version?

Hi,

sorry for the late reply. I upgraded to the very very latest one (22.3.1) on Apple M1. Still get the dropped frame issue. With FCPX no problem at all.
