Generic Error Importing XML

@MavenWayMedia thanks for sending over an XML. That looks to me like it's an XML generated by a camera, given that it looks to have a clip name as the file name and based on what's inside.

This is a screenshot showing your XML on the left and an example FCP XML on the right, you can see they're very different. 

So if you're expecting sequence data from FCP, C0481M01.XML is not that. My best guess is it was generated by the Sony camera that shot that clip. And, Premiere Pro would have no idea what to do with that.

@MavenWayMedia Hm, that's strange. If you DM me with an email address to use, I can send you a OneDrive link and you can upload one of your XMLs to me and I can take a look to try to see what is going on.

Ok, here's where I'm stumped, it is .XML They file does not end in .fcpxml 

He must have used Resolve or something to convert the file because it does end in .XML but I'm getting this message when I try to import.

@MavenWayMedia Ah, if that's the case then they should end in .fcpxml which indicates it is XML data from the new Final Cut Pro. Premiere Pro doesn't natively understand this format and so you'll need to use a third party solution to convert them, for example: https://intelligentassistance.com/xtocc-cc.html

I'm confirming with my client, but I believe they came from FCP. He synced two camera angles and separately recorded audio.

@MavenWayMedia did those XML come from Premiere Pro, or another application, or the camera? If they came with the camera then you don't need to import them. Premiere Pro understands a specific kind of XML which is the old Final Cut Pro 5/6/7 standard. Other XML like from a camera or something is going to be a different standard and you can ignore them for editing.
