Get rid of automatic cross dissolve

With the new update all the video clips I put on my second layer automatically got a cross dissolve effect. I always put the clips I want to use on the second layer, but they all have this effect now (very annoying).
Question 1: Any possibility to delete this effect for all the video’s at the same time
Question 2: How to turn off the function of automatically adding this effect to all clips.

Thank you for the message, the simplify sequence helped me out a lot. And saved me a lot of time.

I figured the automatic dissolves out as well, mistake on my part.
I wanted to duplicate a sequence in the project window and hit command+D at the same time I had selected all the clips in layer 2.
I hadn’t used premiere for a while and used a few other applications which use different key shortcuts.

    Hi Judge_DJ,

I'm not sure how you're getting the dissolves automatically added. Are you using the Automate to Sequence command? Maybe a screen recording of your workflow might help. As far as removing transitions en masse, check out the Sequence > Simplify Sequence command. That can work for you.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
