Getting an Error when I try to create, delete, or reset back to any saved layout.

For some reason, I'm getting an error I have never seen before. It says "Error parsing properties list from file" And it give a file directory back to the layouts folder. I'm only getting this error anytime I'm dealing with resseting back to a saved layout, or going back to a default workspace from that custom worksapce. I have found that I can shut the program down, and delete the XML files and restart the program and it will work until I try to do anything with saved layout again. Any idea why I'm getting this error?

Not sure how to check that at all, but there is only one user on this PC so
I would think permissions wouldn’t be the problem. How would I check the
permissions?

I had similar troubles once, and because one "level" of the filename chain had a restricted permission setting in Windows. Because it can't save, the only place that change you make sits is in the cache files, which are not used after closing. So next time you open, the change hasn't "stuck".

I tried simply setting the upper level folders to all users plus all subfolders, but in reality, this often doesn't work.

I had to go through every level setting folder permissions to all users plus subfolders. Starting at the root User folder, then the next folder in the chain, the next folder ... until I got to that folder the data is actually stored in.
