Getting clip TC from EDl

Can I export an EDL (or something else) that has clip timecode? Not the in and out points, but the total clip length? Thanks!

In addition to Paul's suggestions, check out Sequence Index which is a new panel available in Beta. It has a duration column, and you can export to CSV: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-discussions/now-in-beta-sequence-index-for-complex-timelines/m-p/15448855#M11912

It depends on what exactly you’re trying to export—clips from the timeline or clips from the Project panel.

  • If you’re looking for just the duration of in/out points from a sequence, an EDL will cover that.
  • If you need the full clip duration (total length of the source file), you might want to use File > Export > Avid Log Exchange (ALE), which includes a Duration column.

You can also convert an EDL into a CSV (and then into an ALE file) using a free tool like this: https://editingtools.io/edl/

That way, you can pull clip duration and other metadata not available directly in an EDL.
