GIF Loops within longer video composition.

I downloaded a GIF and converted it to MP4.  Working in AP I added text layers to the time line after the MP4 (converted GIF) ends.  I then export the file as animated GIF.

My problem:  The GIF continues to cycle before and during the time when the text layers appear.  I want the entire video to cycle as a single GIF and not the original GIF file to continuously cycle before the text enters.

I'm open to solutions, ideas to solve this.
