glitches with time remapping

Has anyone experienced random glitches with time remapping in Adobe Premiere Pro? For example, when I speed up a clip using time remapping, the audio either disappears or desyncs completely—even though the audio track wasn’t supposed to be affected. I’ve tried unlinking the audio and video, but the problem persists. Is this a bug, or am I missing a specific setting to prevent this? Also, does using proxies or nested sequences impact time remapping accuracy?

Thank you for your concern, but the problem seems to no longer exist. I reinstalled the software, opened my project, and the issue no longer occurs. I’m not sure what really happened, but it’s a happy ending 🙂

Hey William, sorry to hear about the issues with time remapping. Mike is right, time remapping isn't supposed to affect audio.

Have you tried resetting preferences? https://adobe.ly/3EdV07T

Is it all your clips or just one type of clip? Where'd you get the video from?

Hope we can help,

Caroline
