Glitchy 120fps 4k on 23.976fps 1080p timeline

Experiencing glitchy 4k 120pfs footage on 1080p 23.976fps timeline and in exported footage. Footage is clean when previewing, but once dropped on timeline, it becomes glitchy. The glitchy issue is also present in exported footage. It looks like frames are being dropped. It doesn't have anything to do with playback resolution, as I've already lowered. I've also cleared Premiere cache several times. I'm bringing in footage from canon r5, clog 3, 120fps 4k. I'm working in a AVCHD 1080p, 23.976 sequence. Strange thing is these files were working just fine, then suddenly became glitchy. I did just update MacOS software to Monterey 12.5. Maybe that has something do with it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey cohiba22,

Welcome to the community, and sorry for the issue. Which version of Premiere Pro are you currently working on? Did you see this issue after updating Premiere? Could you describe how the video playback glitches? (a video recording would help) We're here to help. Just need some more information.

Thanks,

Ishan

Hey Ishan,

Thanks for your response. I'm using premiere pro version 22.5. Adobe cloud says it's the most update to version available. I noticed the issue after updating my mac os to monterey 12.5. Here's a link to an example of what i'm talking about. The glitching is happeningin the 2nd and 3rd clip of the video. You'll notice the 4th clip was also filmed at 120fps but in 1080p, with no issues.

For the record, I'm working on a 2021 16" Macbook Pro M1 Max, 32gb ram. I'm pulling files from USB-C attached Samsung T7 Touch 1T SSD.

Let me know if you need any additonal details. Thanks!
