Glitchy Images and Random Black Bands in Premiere Pro 4K

Hello Adobe Community,

I am currently editing a long-form podcast video in Premiere Pro and encountering some issues with the footage. The images are glitchy, and random black bands appear on the screen. The glitches and black bands also stay when exporting the video.

Here are the details of my setup:

  • Camera: Canon R8
  • Resolution: 4K
  • Frame Rate: 25 fps
  • Premiere Pro Version: 24.6.1

I've tried a few troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists. Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

What is your media details, format/codec?

And what is your video driver in use? As the driver number would be good to know.

In general, Game-ready drivers are problematic in most NLE use, you need to be on a 'clean install' of the Nvidia Studio drivers for best reliability.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

Hi Marie312601165iyp!

This looks weird. Does it happen with specific files? Which OS do you have? Have you already tried changing the video renderer to "Software Only"?  Can you share some sample files with us for testing if it still happens?

Let us know.

Thanks,

KR

@R Neil Haugen Thanks for your help, here is a screenshot of my media settings:

@Kartika Rawat, Thank you too, it happens with all files that I've recorded with the Canon R8 in 4k, 25fps. I'll post a link to the source file here once it is uploaded
