Question

good export settings for youtube speedpaints?

I've been trying to edit some speedpaints, recorded with OBS, in Premiere. Playing the video before editing is in high quality so I'm assuming the low quality happens during editing.

By messing with the export settings I got it to say it's a "1080p60fps" output result BUT the video itself is fuzzy.

Any suggestions?

I'll include some links in case you want to see exactly what I mean, but please don't expect great art.

Here's the closest I've gotten to good quality:

testing quality settings... - oc speedpaint - YouTube

Here's the first attempt I had, using the default export settings:

ghostly - oc drawing request (speedpaint) - YouTube

So I have seen some improvement but the blurriness is disappointing.

Make sure to complete step 1 from the link below.  Specifically, this relates to resolution and sequence settings.

Premiere Pro Troubleshooting Guide

Once you know you're doing things correctly within Premiere Pro, I recommend exporting to DNxHD for YouTube uploads.  The quality is a bit better than other formats.  Choose the 1080p DNxHD HQX 10 bit option from the Resolution dropdown list (under Video Codec) on the Video tab of the Export Settings dialog.
