GoPro 5 Telemetry data overlay directly from Adobe Premiere Pro 2015

Hi,

I have a GoPro 5 and use telemetry to track GPS, Speed etc info.

I want to use Adobe Premiere Pro 2015 to edit my videos and add the telemetry data without using GoPro Quik or GoPro Studio at all.

Is this possible? Does Adobe Premiere Pro add telemetry data over videos somehow or do I need to always convert my videos via GoPro Quik first, then convert it again via Studio and then edit it a 3rd time in Adobe Premiere Pro and end up loosing a lot of quality?

Regards

CM

You can now achieve this with After Effects

It's actually so bad that I may just return my gopro. The lose in quality is appalling.

To save video (not share) using GoPro Quik software:

1. Media > View > double-click the video you want to use.

2. At the bottom, select 'Adjust Gauge' button on the right.

3. Select your gauges.

4. At the bottom, select the 'Create a Clip' button on the left.

5. If you haven't scrubbed through your video, it should have the whole clip selected.

6. Select 'Save' and check [Edit > Preferences > Media Folders] to see where it may have saved your video

I think default is same as original video.

However, when I did this, I noticed the bitrate of the outputted video was 25% of that of the original...

Maybe if processed through Studio first you would get better quality.

I wanted to try to isolate the GPS telemetry within Premiere Pro by blending the two videos, (original and clip with GPS) it mostly worked with some spotty artifacts probably from reduced quality.

I dont think you need Quik. Just import the files into Studio and convert to CF mov (no visual loss).

What about the telemetry overlay? How do I add that?

Ah did some Google.

You can use this telemetry only in Quik.
