GPU playback keeps dropping to Software playback

I’m experiencing a consistent playback issue where after a ‘period of time’ 15-30 minutes, hardware decoded playback drops to software decoded playback. I can monitor this in the debug menu (Importer MPEG).

 

To temporarily resolve the issue, I either need to restart Premiere or switch from OpenCL to Software and then back again in the general menu.

 

Is this a known issue? Any potential fixes?

 

Sequence: MP4 – H264 8bit 4.2.0

Premiere Pro 2023 Build 63

Windows 10 Pro 22H2 – All windows updates applied

CPU AMD 7600X

GPU AMD Radeon 6700XT (Pro drivers 22.Q4)
