Gradual Basic Edit Change to Clip in Pr

I want to make gradual editing changes using the basic panel in Lumetri color, in Pr, similar to how the linear graduated mask might be used in Lightroom Classic.

For example, I am trying to make a sunrise timelapse (that I have reversed) get darker towards the end of the clip. I have dropped on a 'dip to black' transition at the end of the clip, but the effect is too 'sudden' and I would prefer a more gradual change from correct expsoure to dark.

Does anyone know how best to acheive this, and if a transition would work best - advice on which transition please - or can it be do by using the basic panel with keyframes?

Thanks for any suggestion.

You can animate Basic tab controls in the Effects Control panel, so that's another way.

Or drop on an Adjustment Layer, and use Lumetri set to the darkest you want it to get.

Then use Opacity on that track to animate thecchange as desired.

You could add a colour black clip and fade it in using keyframes.
