Graphic equalizer not working

When I add Graphic Equalizer 30 bands to an audio track, sometimed it works fine, other times it has no effect at all.  Just now I was adjusting the graphic equalizer and it was modifying the frequency response properly, then for no reason it stopped working. I think the previous settings were still working, but I could make no new adjustments. Why is this?

    Could you provide a bit more information to help troubleshoot the issue?

    • Are you applying the graphic equalizer as a clip effect or a track effect? (I know you said track, but sometimes people say this when referring to a clip)
    • Are you making adjustments during playback, or when the timeline is paused?
    • Are you using keyframes to adjust specific frequency bands, or making changes to the entire clip?
    • Is the Bypass option enabled?

      I'm applying it to a clip in the timeline. Making adjustments when the timeline is paused. Making changes to the entire clip. Bypass is not enabled.
