Green screen and visual glitches on premiere pro

Hello,

Today suddently premiere pro has stopped displaying video correctly. The video that should be playing is a simple mp4. I've tried all of the projects that I have and even creating a new one didn't solve my problem. This is probably some GPU error or something, because I have downloaded an outdated CUDA driver by mistake, and now, even after trying to uninstall it, It sill gives me these screens. Please help me, thank you.

Hi Lorenzo Miglio,

We're sorry to hear about this. Let us know the exact version of Premiere Pro that you are using & the system specs (OS, CPU, GPU & RAM). Also, have you tried switching the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only to check if it's restoring the preview?

Thanks,

Sumeet

Hi Sumeet, sorry for the late reply.
I was using the new up to date version of Premiere (v23.0), on a Mac Big Sur 11.7, with a 2,5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB and an Intel Iris Pro with 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 of RAM.
I've tried changing the renderer and it does in fact restore the preview, but it's practically unusable. (It's way too slow). I've done everything in the book: reinstalled the OS, deleted all of the files from the old CUDA driver I had installed but nothing changed. Reverting to the older version of Premiere "solved" the problem for now.

thank you
