Question

Having several problems with Premiere Pro

I had recently edited a 15-minute video on my phone, which ran it fine. But when I started editing it on Premiere Pro on my computer, I started having some issues that make editing almost impossible. When I open a project some panels won't load for a long time, the timeline won't show any changes I make, it won't let me zoom or move around the timeline, some windows won't even open, and I can't switch to any other tabs like Audio or Effects. I can still play what I have in the timeline, but that takes like a minute to "render." All of these issues persist no matter the length, the amount of edits I made, or if it's originally a Premiere Rush project or not. What can I do?

I've also had another weird problem, when I open a Premiere Rush project with only two audio tracks, it will automatically create about thirty extras. It's not really a problem, but it'd still be nice to know why.

Hi Kayden5E78!

Sorry to hear that. Would you mind sharing your system details like RAM, GPU, CPU? Also, does it happen while working on a specific project?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

My computer runs on 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti, and AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor.

These issues have happened on every project.

Also, whenever I start Premiere Pro, it gives me a pop-up saying "Unsupported Video Driver," but I've always clicked "Continue with known issues..." and haven't had any problems doing that until now.

Some extra information:

I'm on Windows 10, and I've already tried multiple things to fix this.

  • Restarting Premiere Pro.
  • Restarting my computer.
  • Clearing my media cache.
