Help! Adobe is killing my laptop!!!

IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IAH7 Laptop - Type 82S. Windows 11 24/25. Different versions of Nvidia drivers, different SSDs and flash cards. Premiere 23/24/25/26. Clean installation of different versions of Windows. When importing files, the processor is overloaded to 100% and only a hard reboot helps. The computer does not respond to the mouse or keyboard. Video card and SSD tests show no problems.

Hi @Paul_Gringo I'm sorry that's happening. Do I have it right that you import clips and the whole system becomes unresponsive? That shouldn't happen. The only suggestion I can think of is before you import any clips, go to Preferences > Media Analysis & Transcription. Turn off Media Analysis and also Automatic Transcription. Then import your clips. Is there any difference or improvement?
