HELP audio loses sync when editing video

Hi guys!

I'm having a problem with the audio when editing a video on the Premiere Pro. After some cuts, the audio starts to get out of sync and I have to resync manually.

Is there a different/right way to the video instead the blade tool?

Do you have any idea why my audio is getting out of sync? I'm using MP4 videos.

Cheers

Is your "Link Selection" enabled? If not, video will be separate from audio and can go out of sync

Your video clips could be Variable Frame Rate, which often leads to sync issues. What does the frame rate show for the clip, or in Sequence Settings? If something odd like "30.01" then that's probably the issue. Most cell phones now record VFR. Many users will pre-process their VFR clips by using the free HandBrake application to transcode the .mp4 to Constant Frame Rate (usually 29.97) and then edit that new clip in Premiere without issue

    Thanks, SAFEHARBOR11! Apparently that's what's happening!

I'll check the HandBrake to set a Constant Frame Rate.

    Thank you so much!
