Help with a use case (probably involving Premiere Rush or Pro)

Hello Forum,

I am an amateur sports photographer and I started with shooting stills but have now started shooting a mix of stills and videos. I have historically been sharing my content on Lightroom (with players, parents, fans, etc.) which worked great for stills and which also works okay for short clips shot in HD quality. I am using a Sony A7iv and wanted to start shooting in 4K instead, but then I realized something.

First of all, Lightroom fails to import clips shot in 4K 10bit 4:2:2 but that's another issue where I already have thread going with Adobe support.

My typical mode of operation is that I share clips of 10-30 secs of particular sequences from the games I cover. I don't usually do much post production work and then Lightroom does the trick. I have shared albums and distribute the link to those who want to access the content.

But sometimes, I do want to make some post work. I could work with the videos in Rush or Premiere Pro, but I would like to avoid having to export them locally after I am done and then uploading them to the relevant shared album on Lightroom. I would rather just have the ability to share one link to one shared album. Or, worst case, have one album for stills (Lightroom) and one for clips.

I can't see that Rush offers any sharing in that fashion. I don't want to upload to social media platforms, I want to store the content in a cloud archive that I control. I thought that Adobe Creative cloud would allow me to build such an archive and that somehow both Lightroom and video files (be it from Rush or Pro) cold be merged into one and the same archive. Even if I can't merge, I would still want to share clips. But in Rush, I see now way of syncing projects to Creative Cloud. I also don't see in Lightroom a way to sync an album to Creative Cloud.

Perhaps I am a bit lost here, but that's why I reach out to the community for suggestions...

Thankful for any contribution.

Frame.io could be a great solution for your use case, and it integrates well with Premiere Pro.

It supports both images and video, allows for commenting, and will automatically generate proxies for video.

Here’s a guide to help you get started: Getting Started with Frame.io.

Dropbox or a similar service might be your best option.

Vimeo is another option.  You could password protect your videos.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
