Help with Creating 3D Video Content

Hello, I'm a surgeon with some experience with video editing. New to the message board so I appreciate your patience with me..

Robotic surgery is displayed in 3D at the surgeon console. There are 2 video feeds that allow the surgeon to be "immersed" in the surgical space via a 3D video viewer.


I would like to replicate this 3D view in a VR headset. I was able to get the recording of both camera views but they are side by side - see link: https://youtu.be/U6V_F1WUI1M

 

How can I get this to display in 3D when viewing on YouTubeVR on my oculus? Sorry if this is a super basic or repeated question. I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit. Thank you!

I've only worked with 3D medical videos like this once a few years back and only editing the files - not working out how to replay them through 3d hardware ... but the 'side by side' is the way they should be.

 

Editing them in Premiere Pro while maintaining the existing frame size and frame rate worked fine. The files came to me as AVI files (3840x1080 - 60fps - some where 30fps) that were not directly playable in Premiere Pro, converted AVI to Prores (on an old Mac still able to play AVI). Edited them and then (this is a bit fuzzy) I think, exported as high quality MP4's at the same frame size and frame rate as the originals. These clips where used at a conference to let the audience view (with VR headsets) the operations. I don't know what hardware was use though, sorry. But it all worked!
