Help with play back messing up?

Notice the screen tearing and freaking out? I can't figure out what the problem is.

It did this with my GT 1030 so I got an RX 560 4g thinking it would do the trick but its still a problem. I'm using an FX 6300 Black Edition as CPU. I thought it was happening only in Premiere but I checked just the file after import and its the same story.

You might want to check in over on the Hardware forum ... tech wizards Bill Gehrke and safeharbor11 (among others!) hang out there to help on hardware suited for and used in PrPro.

    Neil! Check it out!

Well. This doesn't surprise me at all because I'm a pool tech at my day job and I've learned in the realm of systems if one thing is off the whole thing is off and you might waste a bunch of time and energy dancing around getting nothing done then when you finally find it out It's the simplest thing. It turns out the USB3 things on the front of my computer are damaged. It kept popping up with a message saying do you want to repair? and I'd click yes then it would say "nothing wrong was found."  But the play back was always messed up. The more I imported I started to see where it messed up was different. So just for kicks I plugged it into the port on the back and this was the result. Smooth play back. Glad I tried that.

Does the same look happen the same frames in all playbacks? Do they happen in say VLC or PotPlayer video players?

And within PrPro, what happens if you select Software only for "Mercury Acceleration"?

Btw ... giving us the full specs on the computer and the media involved is very helpful ...

Thank you for getting back to me. If that's to blurry sorry ill type it all but I tried it in Pot player and it did the same thing same. The media is 4k shot on a AX53 imported using a usb3 card reader. I thought it might be corrupted or something so I tried importing it to my bros pc and it looked fine so something is happening with mine. MB is MS-7641. My monitor is not 4k I thought that may be the prob but my bros isn't either.

That looks like some kind of problem with the GPU or the processing of the file in the CPU possibly.

Same result on your rig in PrPro & Potplayer, different on your brothers. Huh. Have you tried uploading from the card to a different spot on your drive, and then in PrPro starting a new project, use the newly uploaded files, and see what you get?
