3 questions for cc 2017

1) why or how can i zoom into the timeline using my mouse wheel??? without pressing any other buttons, like just the mouse wheel.

2) how can i get premiere playhead to start from (example) 5 minutes, and return to where the playhead started at.

like if i start playing the video at 5 minutes, i dont want the cursor to stop where i stop it, i want it to return to the orignal position, how can i do that?

3) is there a way to split a clip in half without having to click on the stupid razer tool? like just a shortcut where it splits the clip whereever the playhead is at

Ive been using vegas and im switching over to premiere bc of after effects imports, its stupid that these effects are not implemented.

Slows down editing too much.

Alt + mouse wheel will do the trick if pressing alt isn't too much

    1. You can't.

    2. You can't.  Not automatically.

    3. You can.  Open the keyboard shortcuts and Search.

    2. as eikonoklastes says Play in to Out

If you hit the kbsc or button (PM) before it reaches the end it start over at the beginning.

For easy selecting use / (forward slash)

There is no option to play it once and return the playhead to it's start position.  But I suppose Play Around might be a workable substitute.

    2) Set an In point, and then use the Play In to Out shortcut. You can remap this to Spacebar if you wish.
