Hold a final note audio

Hello, 

maybe a simple question but I can't find info on that. 

Is there a way to hold a note on an audio track? I want to finish in the middle of a song and I would like to be not so abrupt, by holding the last note for longer and applying a fade. Using the fade without streatching it is also too abrupt so I am looking too hold the last note longer, without changing the sound that the stretch tool applies.
