Hold a Frame Across the Timeline?

Am I missing something really obvious here? I’m trying to figure out the easiest or best way to hold the last frame of a clip and control the duration of the hold? I have tried putting the pointer on the frame I want to hold, selecting the clip, control clicking on the clip and selecting “Frame Hold Options…” and “Add Frame Hold” neither of them does anything. The last frame of the clip is at 00.04.35.11. Basically I want to hold that for about two minutes while I add credits. What am I doing wrong?

    Correct answer Ann Bens

Those two options mentions wont work on the very last frame.

Go to the last frame and hit Insert Frame Hold Segment.

Use the Rate Stretch Tool to extend it to whatever length you want.

Other way is to make an export frame from the last frame, bring the still into the project and put it next to the last frame.

Thanks Ann, I have inserted the frame hold segment but it won't let me extend it with the Rate Stretch Tool, it is 2 seconds long by default but I can't stretch it. I can't work out why I can't extend it :-(

Rate Stretch tool can be a bit obstinate.

Right click on still and use Speed/Duration option
