How can I fix this distortion bug with my footage?

Whenever I render a clip it gets compressed and makes the the video all the distorted and squished. I've had this problem for a while but I don't know how to fix it?

In order to get an idea of what might be happening, we need you to give us detailed information about the parameters of the clip you are working with. You could be working with a P.A.R. too narrow, we don't know it at first glance. You could use the MediaInfo app to get clip details.

Make sure the preview or proxy setting match the original/sequence settings.
