Question

How can I stop Adobe software from scaling up? The UI is too magnified.

I don't want to scale up everything (ie. change Windows scaling globally, because it's a 15" laptop screen and it's 4K) like many people, I want to shrink everything to actual size when I'm using busy user interfaces like Adobe Premiere, otherwise I'm mostly wasting my 4K screen resolution!

  • I've tried the .manifest file with registry hack.
  • I've tried changing the Compatibility option in the shortcut and on the .exe itself.

Has something changed in the latest version of Windows/ Premiere?

Thanks for any ideas!

Have you found any workaround for this problem?

Still no option to change the scaling factor for Adobe software in 2025...

My recommendation is to leave Windows Scaling at 100% and use nothing less than a 32" monitor at UHD resolutions.

As I said, I'm on a laptop.

I have a laptop because I need a mobile computer. Otherwise I would get a cheaper and more powerful desktop.

That kind of resolution on a Laptop screen is just a waste.  Get a different Laptop.
