Question

How do I create multiple captions tracks?

Is there a way that I can have multiple different captions tracks that I can toggle on/off, either one at a time, or even two at the same time (obviously in this case they would be shown on different parts of the frame so they wouldn't be on top of one another)

Here's my situation:

I am currently working with interview footage that was done with a Spanish speaker. So far, I have had Premiere automatically transcribe the clip, and I then created the captions from that transcript. I then cleaned up the captions to fix any spanish that Premiere got wrong. Now, I want to create English captions that are based on these cleaned up Spanish captions, and have the ability to either turn on the Spanish captions, turn on the English captions, or even turn on both at the same time in the frame (maybe English on top of frame, spanish on bottom, for example).

I'm quite new to working with the text panel so I am hoping to get some advice.

Thank you.

i  just want to clarify that i'm not expecting premiere itself to do the translation. I just want to have mulitple captions tracks attached to the source clip itself.
