How do I keep Transition Effect Controls panel open while scrubbing through the Typewriter video transition? Every time I want to view my changes it goes back to the clips/graphics Effects controls.

Premiere 26.0.1(build 3) 

I am struggling to make adjustments to a Typewriter transition because every time I want to view changes the Effects Controls panel changes. Is there a way to keep this panel visible and scrub through the timeline? I have undocked and that doesn’t appear to help.
