Question

How do I put an image in a round frame?

This option used to be in the Opacity menu. In the new mask, the circle looks like this.) Are you going to keep making fun of us for a long time?

    @Paul_Gringo

    I got the results I expect (with the new masking) when I place the mask on an output clip of the multicam sequence. To do that, I had to exit the multicam view.

    Which clip/sequence are you applying the mask to? Are you creating more than one mask?

    I'm applying an effect to a photo; I need a circular image

    Masking changed in PR 26.3. The mask tools (ellipse, rectangle, etc) are no longer under an effect (like Opacity), but in the main Tools panel. See this:

    Yes, I know the developers made this option more complicated

    No its is not: select Opacity or effect first then draw the mask.

    Or use the properties panel.

    Please share a screenshot of your full application window, with the Effect Controls panel visible, so we can see your mask settings and help troubleshoot.

    Select the image clip in the timeline, then open the Properties panel. Under Opacity, click the ellipse mask icon (the circle) to add a round mask to the image. You can then resize and move the circle, and add a little feather if you want soft edges.

    I figured out why—this effect doesn't work in some projects. When working with multi-camera footage, I can't draw a circle; Premiere creates an odd-looking shape, like in the screenshot
