How do I reduce wave crashing sounds during interview at shore

I'm doing a short video about an open-water swimmer who is blind. I could sure use some input to help me reduce suddenly loud waves at the shore during an interview I did. I should have known better, but a passing ferry created just enough waves to give me angst while editing this interview because my subject was, of course, at the shore, which was initially quiet. Bad subject placement, for sure.

I've been mucking around with Essential Sound, but I can't seem to find a result that I'm really satisifed with. Any suggestions are really welcomed. Thanks very much!
