Question

How do I set and export a sequence that has 2.0 and 5.1 sound mix?

Hi, I need help please ASAP! For my distribution deliverables of my film I need to give them a video file that includes the 2.0 and the 5.1 mix together so they can choose what to use. How do I do that? I haven't found a tutorial or a detailed blog that explains how to. It's always either one or the other one but not both together. Below is what they need. Please send me a detailed explanation of how to do this as if I was a person using Premiere for the first time 🙂

Audio must be configured as follows (R123:16c Option 1) :

  • Tracks 1-2: 2.0 Full Mix Lt, Rt

  • Tracks 3-4: 2.0 M&E lt, Rt

  • Tracks 5-10: 5.1 Full Mix (SMPTE Order) L,R,C ,LFE, SL, SR

  • Tracks 10-16: 5.1 M&E (SMPTE Order) L,R,C ,LFE, SL, SR

Is your sequence fully setup with the audio tracks you need? That's the first thing.

Then you sort out which export formats can handle that number/type of audio tracks.

Hello!

Have you found a solution for this since I am going through the same thing?

How do you have your Sends section setup in the Audio Track Mixer? Submixes?

Thanks for answering, but that link doesn't really explain how to put both 2.0 and 5.1 while exporting. It only shows 4 channels, I need 16 channels. I have seen other tutorials that at least show 8 for 5.1 but not 16. And my issue is how to pan and how to assign them correctly. Best!
